simply fabulous: we heart the red carpet at the oscars

wow! the 2014 oscar awards were amazing, didn’t you think? it was such a glamorous night, with all of our favorites stepping out in their best. we are loving this return to classic elegance that is sweeping over hollywood; stepping away from the desire to turn heads, and focusing more on flattering, fabulous silhouettes paired with delicious colors and elegant sparkle. but they aren’t afraid to be daring; we love the dramatic low sweeping necklines (both front and back!), unique asymmetrical styles, and bright, unexpected jewel tones that ruled the red carpet. there was a decidedly fun twist on the traditionally stuffy awards show this year; we all loved the return of Ellen DeGeneres as host, bringing her infectious smile and always tasteful yet sassy humor to the ceremony. all of the unique musical performances kept the show endlessly entertaining; Pink‘s Somewhere Over the Rainbow was a breathtaking tribute to Judy Garland. and we were gushing over all of the sincere excitement, and sweet speeches, by all of the winners.
